500. This phosphorus-based additive is primarily used in the manufacture of glass fiber reinforced plastics for products in the electrical and electronic (E&E) industry.

Excellent flame retardant properties

This new polymer additive from LANXESS shows very good flame retardant properties in combination with other additives and easily meets the relevant fire safety tests. Emerald Innovation NH
500 formulated glass fiber reinforced PA66 passed the UL of American testing company Underwriters Laboratories Inc.
94 fire test with excellent V-0 rating at 0.8mm test sample thickness. In the glow wire test, the highest expected Glow Wire Flammability Index (GWFI) at 960°C is easily achieved with a 3mm thick specimen.
Glow Wire Ignition Temperature (GWIT) measured up to 875 °C, significantly higher than the reference standard (775 °C).

Maintain mechanical properties

LANXESS has developed various formulations for this new flame retardant. They ensure that the mechanical properties and other functional properties of the final product are maintained.
