Latest News: Recently, the workers of Inner Mongolia Dongyuan Technology Co., Ltd. are stepping up the orderly construction of the second phase of the 1,4-butanediol (BDO) project with an annual output of 280,000 tons. The project is expected to be put into operation in September this year. After completion, Dongyuan Technology will become the largest production base of BDO and downstream deep-processing products in the whole industry chain.
BDO project with a total capacity of 380,000 tons/year
With the gradual escalation of the national “plastic restriction order”, the development of the degradable plastics industry has entered a golden window period. Because of this, after the first phase has an annual production capacity of 100,000 tons, Dongyuan Technology has started the construction of the second-phase project with an annual output of 280,000 tons. By then, the company’s BDO production capacity will reach 380,000 tons per year. At the same time, the second phase of the simultaneous construction of projects with an annual output of 200,000 tons of fully degradable plastics is expected to be put into operation next year, when the Hetao Plain will be covered with the fully degradable plastic film produced by Inner Mongolia itself.
Wuhai can form 3 million tons of biodegradable plastic production capacity in 2025
Wuhai has large-scale calcium carbide and coking capacity, and many products of these industries are the raw materials needed for the production of BDO. Because of this, a number of BDO and degradable plastic production enterprises have settled in Wuhai. It is estimated that by 2025, Wuhai will have a production capacity of 3 million tons/year of degradable plastics, accounting for more than 40% of the country’s total production capacity. At that time, Wuhai will become a biodegradable plastics industry base with the largest production capacity in China, with important national influence, competitiveness and voice.
At present, Wuhai has Inner Mongolia Junzheng Chemical Co., Ltd. with an annual output of 2×600,000 tons of BDO and an annual output of 2×1,000,000 tons of PBAT/PBS/PBT/PTMEG green environmental protection recycling industry Phase I project, Inner Mongolia Sunway New Materials Co., Ltd. Production of 900,000 tons of BDO and degradable plastic integration project, Inner Mongolia Huaheng Energy Technology Co., Ltd. PTMEG, PBAT new material industry integration project, Inner Mongolia Dongjing Bio-Environmental Technology Co., Ltd. annual output of 200,000 tons / year PBS biodegradable polymer Ester project, Guangjin 300,000 tons/year degradable plastic integration projects, etc.
