Price trend
According to the data monitored by SunSirs, as of August 17, the average price of domestic DMF companies’ premium DMF quotations was 15,400.00 RMB/ton. DMF prices continued to run at a high level, and DMF manufacturers frequently produced high prices and the price continued to rise. Compared with the same period last week (8.10-8.17), DMF prices increased by 9.22%, compared with the same period last month DMF prices increased by 23.69%, the monthly increase reached nearly 3,000 RMB/ton. The current upward trend continues to ferment, and it is expected to continue to rise in the short term.
Analysis review
The domestic DMF market continued to rise, and the price increase momentum continued. Some factories in Henan stopped for maintenance, and the supply stock was tight. Manufacturers raised their prices one after another. The current mainstream price range is around 15,400 RMB/ton.
Downstream just needs to purchase mainly, cautiously wait and see, the market transaction atmosphere is still good, the manufacturer’s attitude continues to improve, and the manufacturer is actively shipping, the number of new orders is increasing slowly, contract customers are scheduled to ship orders, most manufacturers are in urgent inventory, and they are shipping at a high price.
The upstream methanol price trend is strong, and the quotation has increased slightly. Shandong Mingshui’s methanol quotation is 2,570 RMB/ton, and Shandong Union’s methanol quotation is stable to 2,570 RMB/ton. The current mainstream price range is 2,600-2,800 RMB/ton, which will remain stable with a rise in the short term.
DMF Commodity Index: On August 16, the DMF Commodity Index was 251.23, an increase of 9.84 points from previous day, a record high in the cycle, and an increase of 273.80% from the lowest point of 67.21 on February 21, 2016. (Note: Period refers to 2011-09-01 to present)
