Latest News: On the morning of August 3, the 2022 China Coal-based Green Park and New Materials Industry Development Forum opened at Ningxia Ningdong Energy and Chemical Base (hereinafter referred to as “Ningdong Base”). Experts, scholars and business representatives conducted full exchanges on topics such as modern coal chemical industry, new energy and new materials, green and low-carbon development through a combination of online and offline methods.
On the day of the main forum, Ningdong Base was awarded the title of “China Spandex Valley” by China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation and held an unveiling ceremony.
Zhang Yajun, president of the Ningdong Federation of Enterprises and Entrepreneurs, said: In recent years, the Ningdong base has successively introduced a number of well-known spandex production enterprises at home and abroad to produce spandex in terms of production factor construction, infrastructure supporting capacity building, and business environment construction. New vitality has been injected. Next, the Ningdong base will further increase investment in research and development. The goal is to build a global spandex production base integrating production, research and development, technology and service in a coordinated development of the whole industry chain, leading the development of the spandex industry in the world.
In addition to the spandex project, the Ningdong base has also introduced a number of upstream raw material enterprises in the spandex industry chain, such as Wanhua Chemical, Sinopec Great Wall Energy Chemical, Wuheng Chemical, etc., to comprehensively build an integrated high-performance fiber industry cluster. At present, the Ningdong base has been completed. The two spandex production enterprises Hyosung Spandex (Ningxia) Co., Ltd. and Ningdong Taihe New Materials Co., Ltd. have an annual production capacity of about 96,000 tons. At the same time, the 108,000-ton spandex project of Taiguang Chemical Fiber is being settled. By 2025, the Ningdong base will be established. China’s spandex production capacity is expected to be around 800,000 tons, making it the world’s largest spandex production base.
