According to the latest data from the Statistics Bureau of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, in May, the output of raw coal in Inner Mongolia was 97.481 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 17.0%, and the growth rate was 2.2 percentage points higher than that of the previous month. The average daily output of raw coal was 3.145 million tons. Since the implementation of the coal supply guarantee policy in October last year, the daily average has exceeded 3 million tons for the eighth consecutive month.

From January to May, the raw coal output of industrial enterprises above designated size in Inner Mongolia was 489 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 15.2%.

In terms of power production, in May, the region’s power generation was 51.18 billion kWh, a year-on-year increase of 4.2%, and the growth rate was 3.8 percentage points higher than the previous month, with an average daily power generation of 1.65 billion kWh.

From January to May, the power generation of industrial enterprises above designated size in the region was 254.88 billion kWh, a year-on-year increase of 4.7%.

In terms of categories, from January to May, thermal power generation in the region was 202.51 billion kWh, a year-on-year increase of 5.8%, driving the region’s power generation to increase by 4.0 percentage points; wind power generation was 43.50 billion kWh, a year-on-year increase of 0.3%. In the case of insufficient wind power, thermal power generation gives full play to the role of peak regulation, ensuring the stability of power production in the region.
